It seems like yesterday we were greeting the Red Room and Blue Room Friends for the first time! Time flies by when you are having fun! As we began our last week together in the three’s program, we delighted in our favorite school year activities, and also highlighted each unit.

The friends began the morning with engaging in lively play that included:

-playdough with flower gems and desert animals

-visiting the dramatic play “small world town” that included the favorite tree house, doll houses and farm

-piecing together puzzles

-building homes out of our various blocks for the three little pigs and the three little bears

-painting and glueing shapes to create unique masterpieces

-zooming cars down ramps

-exploring the marble run

During circle time, the Red Room friends sang a few of our school favorite songs, including, Two Little Hands, Tommy Thumb, and Clap Our Feet Together. We then read "Should I Share My Ice Cream?" by Mo Willems. After the friends took turns asking each other if they would like some ice cream while passing the ice cream (a ball) from one cone to another. We finished circle time with dancing to Tick Tock, Let's Rock and Fandagumbo. The Blue Room friends read "But No Elephants" by Jerry Smath. They then enjoyed practicing their stop and go dance moves while grooving to a freeze dance song.

For Discovery Area, the friends continued their favorite activities and revisiting unit fun with:

-building with magna tiles on the Light Table

-creating homes with Kapla blocks and colored shape blocks for bugs

-molding the cold insta-snow in the water table

-painting on the easel with sponges

-using our fingers to paint in swirling designs and watched the colors mix

-completes the obstacle course in the Red Room

-visited the Makeshop

For snack the friends ate goldfish crackers. After we head outside, where the friends enjoyed jumping in puddles, digging in the sandbox, and building with the imagination playground.
