The morning was filled with energy in the Red Room and Blue Room! The friends began the day with free choice activities that included:
-painting with bright colors
-helping to stuff a spider costume the friends have been creating with Mrs. Loomis
-adding pipe cleaner "hairs" to our large spider for our bulletin board display
-building with brick blocks and driving trucks around the buildings
-creating ice cream play dough creations
During circle time, both the Red Room and Blue Room friends graphed their favorite bug from our unit, picking from Butterfly, Ant, Bee, or Spider. Then the Red Room friends listened to the story "Miss. Spider's Tea Party" while the Blue Room friends read "The Very Busy Spider. While the Blue room friends used the zoom, a microscope video camera, to take a close look at a real bee, moth, and a spiders shedded skin, the Red Room friends reflected on the school year, sharing their favorite things about school and singing favorite songs from the unit and school year.
For snack, the friends ate cinnamon raisin bread with apple butter. After they headed outside , where they enjoyed the sunshine on the playground.
