Dear Morning Red and Blue Room families,
Today at The Children's School, the friends enjoyed...
... playing together with the jungle and dinosaur Lego sets.
... creating bugs using small, colorful sticks in the playdough.
... painting using metallic and natural colored paints.
... playing a bug game on the Red Room rug.
For circle time, the Red Room friends read the book, "Planting a Rainbow" by Lois Ehlert and sang the song "Two Little Hands". Then the friends changed the lyrics to "Two little feet..." and sang it a few more times! The friends also got the chance to taste real honey on a cracker.
For circle time, the Blue Room friends read the book, "Are You A Bee?" by Judy Allen and sang, "I See A Little Baby Bumblebee". We learned that bees have a special way of telling other bees where the good flowers are and that is by doing a wiggle dance where the point their body in the right direction. We also learned that if the hive gets too hot, bees will sometimes use their wings like fans to cool it off.
Snack today was orange slices and string cheese.
We finished our day buzzing around the playground!
Have a wonderful weekend and we'll see everybody on Monday!
